David Ng is a registered Singapore Patent Attorney in the Intellectual Property Practice.

He undertakes drafting and prosecution of both local and overseas patent applications in various fields of technology. He also undertakes patentability searches and analyses for inventions.

David has worked as a research engineer at the National University of Singapore (NUS) where he was involved in developing a novel medical device for improving surgical outcomes of ligament reconstructive surgery.

David’s work has been presented at several international conferences and has been awarded the Best Paper (Silver) award at the 4th Scientific Meeting organised by the Biomedical Engineering Society (2007). His work has also been published in several peer-reviewed scientific journals.

David is a member of the Association of Singapore Patent Attorneys (ASPA). He was awarded a book prize by the ASPA as the top scorer of Paper A (Preparation of a Patent Specification) in the Patent Agents Qualifying Examinations.

David graduated from NUS in 2007 with a B.Eng. (Hons.) in Biomedical Engineering. He was then awarded an NUS Research Scholarship to perform scientific research and obtained his Ph.D. in 2012. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law (Merit).
